In terms of music, Kal Ho Na Ho simply pales in comparison towards Tere Naam. Tere Naam was a classic musical album, no wonder why it was the highest selling album. Well it makes sense, that Kal Ho Na Ho was a Karan Johar film, so they always give the popular film the award. How can you give a mediocre album like Kal Ho Na Ho over Tere Naam. To be honest, Himesh Reshammiya was totally robbed from the ?Best Music? award. From the soulful ?Tere Naam?, to the dance chartbuster ?Oodhni?, to the beautiful romantic duet ?Tumse Milna?, to the Bhajan ?Man Basia?, to the heartful depressing ?Kyon Kisi Ko?, to the youthful ?O Jaana?, and the likeable ?Lagan Lagi?, each song fit into the film very well. Tere Naam music has everything that any music lover would love to hear. Himesh Reshammiya music was not only the best of 2003, but the best musical album for a long time. The biggest USP of Tere Naam, in my opinion, was its Super-Duper Musical Hit score. To me, those thinks don?t matter put it like this, SALMAN KHAN WAS ROBBED!

But since that tragic accident occurs, he wasn?t award that award. Honestly, Salman Khan deserved the ?Best Critics Actor? or ?Jury Actor? award from every award ceremony. But from what I saw, Salman Khan puts his heart and soul towards this film. Remember people, the director tells the actor what to do and what not to do, so blame Satish Kaushik, not Salman Khan. Personally people say how Vikram acted better than Salman Khan, truly I don?t care. Without doubt, Tere Naam truly belongs to Salman Khan. Her simple, humble, traditionally Indian character went down very well with the viewers.Īll the supporting did a great job in this film. I don?t think no other actress suited this role, Bhoomika was made for this role.

Instances: MUGHAL-E-AZAM, EK DUUJE KE LIYE and QAYAMAT SE QAYAMAT TAK.īhoomika Chawla acted very well towards her part. But tragic ends have gone down very well with cinegoers, in turn translating into grand box-office victories. Even the climax is so effective that your heart goes out to the lovers! A small section of the audience may not take to the ending whole-heartedly, mainly because it's not a conventionally joyous culmination. In this film too, he executes the dramatic portions with panache. He is most comfortable in dramatic sequences in fact that has always been his forte. But the way Satish has treated the subject speaks volumes of his aptitude. To accept the directorial reins of a love story that defies the stereotype is indeed a challenge. This factor is its USP.ĭirector Satish Kaushik is in complete form this time around. The reasons that bring them together are realistic and the conflict that ensues is equally convincing. Tere Naam primarily revolves around two simple characters. There is no parental opposition, nor is there a rich versus poor angle, nor does it look at two different religions or caste differences, nor there is no third lover popping up from somewhere, also one of the protagonist has a child from their previous relationship.

Though Bollywood has churned out love stories that has been remake from old Bollywood classic or even Hollywood, the story of Tere Naam is genuinely 'hatke' and it doesn't follow the standard rules of a romantic film. Rameshwar, Nirjara's fiancé, informs her of this incident.īut before Nirjara can express her love to Radhe, something drastic happens. Unknowingly, Radhe saves Nirjara's elder sister from an adversity. Radhe declares his feelings to her, but Nirjara refuses him outright. Radhe falls for her simplicity and innocence and dreams of marrying her. He meets Nirjara, the daughter of a priest, who has just joined the city college. Radhe Mohan is a loafer, but a gem at heart.
#Album art for tere naam hindi movie movie#
It had everything that a movie needs, superb music, different script, good direction and of course hamara Sallu Bhai, Salman Khan. To me, Tere Naam lived up to the expectations that I had towards it. Though the movie was a remake, to me, I don?t think Tere Naam was a letdown. When I finally saw the film, all I can say was Paisa Vasool. Tere Naam was one movie that I have looked forward to when the promos was aired on Sony TV.
